Clicking the Manage and Unsubscribe link in the Hive emails only gives me the option to Unfollow from All and Delete my Account. That’s a bit drastic. I just don’t want all the unhelpful emails all the time. Can’t I just stop receiving them without deleting my account?

Any language community can activate the Community Hive service. However, at the moment, Community Hive's interfaces are only available in English. We will for sure be adding multi-language support. We will also be adding a filtering option (kind of like how the categories work) where you can set what languages you want to see in your feed. You will be able to save your language as a permanent preference across all your devices. This should roll out in the next few weeks!

As we mentioned recently in the categories feedback topic, we are removing categories and today we launched filter tags. Filter tags are similar to categories but allow more flexibility. Key changes: You can now assign 3 tags instead of 2 categories If one of our default tags do not fit your community, you can now specify custom tags Custom tags are searchable Future updates will use tags to enhance discovery of new communities in your feed. Stay tuned!

If your community just signed up for Community Hive, you will probably wonder where it is on the Discover feed. It can take some time for our algorithms to "learn" your community and adjust the sorting for it in the Discover feed. Over time, Community Hive will start to show it more prominently to get members to learn about your community. Be sure to assign an audience and tag your community as these also make a huge difference in how fast and how often Community Hive will present your community to new members in Discover.

I might be wrong so apologies up front if I am. But ever since we added the Hive add on, we started having a few 520's on the forum. See: https://admin-junkies.com/threads/error-code-520.3979/ And earlier we had a server error where it leads to my assumption: #0 src/vendor/guzzlehttp/guzzle/src/Middleware.php(65): GuzzleHttp\Exception\RequestException::create(Object(GuzzleHttp\Psr7\Request), Object(GuzzleHttp\Psr7\Response)) #1 src/vendor/guzzlehttp/promises/src/Promise.php(204): GuzzleHttp\Middleware::GuzzleHttp\{closure}(Object(GuzzleHttp\Psr7\Response)) #2 src/vendor/guzzlehttp/promises/src/Promise.php(153): GuzzleHttp\Promise\Promise::callHandl…

I see CommunityHive has gone international with the addition of non-English communities. Congratulations! Would strongly like a language preference as part of the initial onboarding.

Community Hive attempts to learn what types of communities you might like and will show them in your Discover feed. Sometimes you might see a community that does not interest you so we have added a new Hide Community option in the Discover feed. This hide option will remove that community from ever showing in your Discover feed again unless you either unhide it or specifically follow it later. By using the hide option, you can further refine what types of content are suggested to you in the Discover feed and find new communities for you to enjoy.

Could we see a mute button for sites in discover that we're definitely not interested in following? For example, a site in Italian that is dedicated to turtles I could mute so that I never see it in discover.

Does it only scan the base forums or will it go deeper? For example, I have several add-ons like my articles that are further into my forums like forums.servicedogadvocate.com/articles/. Will the system scan those and produce them here?

Are there going to be more categories? My main site is a writing/story/fiction site. The only category that might fit is 'news and entertainment' but that is typically considered Hollywood news and government-approved narratives (a place I tend to avoid). I'd also go hunting for niche hobby activities like model railroading, photography, painting, hiking... etc "Hobbies" maybe as a category?

I am currently running PHP 8.2.8. This happens when trying to follow other communities, not just my own.

I’ve noted several times now, and I’ve only noticed on mobile, haven’t tested on desktop, after having my safari browser backgrounded for awhile, I’ll come back to it and talk.communityhive.com will be displaying the result of an Ajax request. https://talk.communityhive.com/?app=core&module=system&controller=ajax&do=instantNotifications&csrfKey=e99ac5149c398bbf845f1888cd1889cc¬ifications=0&messages=0 Anyone else notice this?

If I click on Manage and Unsubscribe, there is no option to unsubscribe from all e-mails. Even if I don't follow anything, I get empty e-mails:

When you add your community to Community Hive, be sure you visit https://communityhive.com/account and click your community under "Managed Sites." From there, you can choose your categories and audience level. Your community will not show in the Disover view unless you set an audience.

Hello, I installed the latest IC Beta today and activated the Community Hive. Now when I look at my feed, the first article is from 2 days ago, then one from 2 weeks ago and then one from 6 days ago. It only contains content from a single pages database that I use as a blog, no forums or other contents. Which brings me to the next question... After activation BEFORE I was able select what I wanted to be listed, it seems that content from ALL areas got fetched. So for example also a database that I use as a Wiki and should not appear there. How do I get those entries out out of the feed, it was actually never selected by me? Best regards

Just a consolidated place to put suggestions as we test Community Hive on our sites. Some site names might not be immediately obvious as to the subject matter. Add a field for site owners to add a small description about their community, probably no more than 300 char, that will show up as a tooltip when hovering over the site name in Discover. So, for example, the Lynchburg Police Foundation might have "The Lynchburg Police Foundation was created to foster a mutually beneficial relationship with our community and promote excellence in police services." from their About page. Allow us to edit the text in this new block:

The discover Feed only shows the two communities that I followed. Does it ever mix in content from new communities that are highly trafficked or popular? Or does it stay as only those two communities.

I follow the Lynchburg Police whatever. That community shows on my CH feed, but what information - if any - is shared with the Lynchburg Police website.
