Rocketfella
Just a consolidated place to put suggestions as we test Community Hive on our sites. Some site names might not be immediately obvious as to the subject matter. Add a field for site owners to add a small description about their community, probably no more than 300 char, that will show up as a tooltip when hovering over the site name in Discover. So, for example, the Lynchburg Police Foundation might have "The Lynchburg Police Foundation was created to foster a mutually beneficial relationship with our community and promote excellence in police services." from their About page. Fan Clubs
Right now the Discover Tab is set up to show a feed of content across selected categories. I love this as an option to find and get right to the content, but as more communities get integrated it might get difficult to find communities you would like to follow. I wouldn't be surprised if this is already in the roadmap, but it would be a great addition to include a directory of communities by category, as well.

I understand where you are coming from here. However, things like tooltips are not mobile-friendly and descriptions I do not think would be very engaged on. I would encourage you to think about how your dynamic content will drive engagement more than static data like a title or description.

That gets me back to my suggestion from a few weeks ago regarding what content I want to share to Hive. Right now, the most active thread on my site is about watches, not cars. Yes they are and I clicked one of them because it looked interesting to me 🙂

The only category that might fit is 'news and entertainment' but that is typically considered Hollywood news and government-approved narratives (a place I tend to avoid). I'd also go hunting for niche hobby activities like model railroading, photography, painting, hiking... etc "Hobbies" maybe as a category? I’m a future updates there will be both more and fewer categories. What I mean is, you will see a limited list based on semi-similar categories to what you already follow. But there will be many more hidden that will open up when it makes sense. We don’t want to overwhelm the menu.
Aerodynamic
I don’t know what the refresh interval is, but would it be possible to add a manual refresh? It seems it’s different then just refreshing down the browser.

How often it refreshes a remote community feed is... complex.
