I follow a new community. What then?

I follow the Lynchburg Police whatever.  

That community shows on my CH feed, but what information - if any - is shared with the Lynchburg Police website.

As that site is on Squarespace, nothing is shared other than the site owner sees their follower count increase by one.

For other platforms that have a “real” API, it depends on how you follow. If anonymous, it’s truly anonymous and they only see their count increase. If you follow as a member to get private content, they know your account on their community is following but do not know what email you use on Community Hive.
