We already have push notifications in the browser and you can add Community Hive to your home srceen on your phone too.

Community Hive was built with mobile in mind so a native mobile app is going to happen.

Will we get unread indicators as well?  I know this was something IPS was working on for the PWA for iOS

The native app will have them. I would expect most will use native when we release it.
